Everyone has to have boring rules - and these are ours. They are important though - and all parents must sign to say they have read and understood them.
Fees:
Fees are due monthly in advance in the first week of each month. There is a 10% discount for nursery-age brothers or sisters who attend at the same time. We do not charge fees for Bank Holidays (The nursery is closed on Bank Holidays.)Unfortunately our high overheads prevent us from refunding fees for missed sessions. For the same reason missed sessions cannot be taken at a later date. Please let us know if your child is going to be absent by telephoning 01347 823463.
Safety:
We will not any child to leave the nursery with anyone other than his/her usual parent/carer unless we have been informed in advance or the person knows the child's password. (The password scheme is optional - see the enrolment form) We will always refuse to allow children to leave with anyone who appears to be either unsuitable or under 16. It is an integral part of our health and safety policy that potential problems are reported and remedied. If you think anything could be a danger to children or adults, you must tell us.
Illness and accidents:
We must ask you not to bring your child to nursery if he/ she is not well. Infections can spread very quickly in a nursery school. Conjunctivitis and stomach upsets are two of the worst offenders. Exclusion times for common communicable disases are included with our policy documents and are hosted on this website (click here). We will contact you if your child becomes unwell so that you can arrange to collect him/her as a matter of urgency. If your child has an accident it will be recorded in the accident book which you will be asked to sign. If we are worried about any child who is unwell or injured we will contact the parent/carer and the ambulance service and/or child's doctor as necessary. We cannot take the child to hospital or to the doctors surgery. You must tell us if your child has been unwell or injured recently. We can administer medicines if you fill in and sign our medication book.
Personal Property:
Your child's clothing and personal property must be marked clearly with his/her name. Please bring wellingtons in wet weather. Children who are not toilet trained must bring disposable nappies. (Nappies are regularly checked and children are encouraged to use the toilets unless we are advised otherwise.) Please note that all items are left at the owner's risk.
Parking:
Please do not park or wait on the road outside the nursery. If the gates are closed or the car park is full please wait on the driveway and use the turning circle in front of the Nursery so that you do not reverse into the road. Please take great care in the car park. People using the car park do so at their own risk. Westfield Nursery accepts no responsibility for injury, damage or loss to persons, vehicles or property in the car park.
Publicity:
On occasions the children, their photographs and their work appear in the news media, on the Internet and in other publications. If you do not wish your child to be identified in this way you must let us know in writing.

We have produced policy documents which form part of these terms and conditions. They are available on this website and printed copies are available in the nursery for you to take home.
We reserve the right to vary these terms and conditions as necessary.
