 | | Keeping cool the Westfield way |
| | The Out of School Club @ Westfield celebrates its 14th birthday in 2008! The children are kept busy with loads of activities and games. They have their own Wii and GameBoy Advance SP with lots of (non-violent) games, a dance mat ... and they even have their own cool minibus. Miles (as they christened him) was bought to replace 'Maureen' in the autumn term 2009 and is fully insured and seat-belted, and takes children to Easingwold Primary School each morning and collects them at the end of the school day. We are the only out of school club in the area to offer breakfast and a delicious cooked evening meal. Breakfast is free (as is the minibus transfer) and the evening meal is available for just £3. Roast chicken, homemade pizza, fresh soup, delicious sponge puddings and fresh fruit are all included in our tea-time menus - and at just £3 per meal it must be the best value home-cooked food in Easingwold. Parents are welcome to try it for themselves. We promise, it really is delicious! Before school care costs £3.50 (including minibus transfer to Easingwold Primary School). After school care is just £7. We do not charge for bank holidays or full weeks that are missed, nor do we charge for school holidays if the child does not attend. Needless to say, our Out of School Club children benefit from the experience and high standards on which Westfield has built its reputation. Our staff, facilities, equipment and safety procedures are second to none. The children and their parents benefit from our carefully thought out policies and procedures and have the reassurance of our list of promises to parents. We just about cover our costs, but make little profit from the Out of School Club. Like everything else at Westfield, we put the children before profits and provide the best quality service we can.
