On Friday 9th June, after a picnic tea and a few rules agreed, the children took their starting positions. They were given lots of 'weapons' ranging from enormous Super Soakers to pieces of cloth and sponges with lots of bowls, jugs, buckets and cups thrown in for good measure. Water and lots of screams filled the air as everyone got stuck in. The nursery children were kept a safe distance away where they could watch the antics without getting soaked. However, they too got a turn of the action when the bigger children lined up and let the little ones hurl water at them without fear of retaliation! The event was deemed a huge success and hopefully before the end of summer we will have had another soaking.
